Welcome

Welcome to McGill's Organic Campus! We are a non-profit student organization that operates on the McGill University Campus (Montreal, Canada) and we are dedicated to bringing local organic fruits and vegetables to the community at affordable prices.

All of our produce and baked goods come from Farm True Food Ecostere located in Glen Robertson, Ontario (1 hour from Montreal).

We operate every Tuesday of the year (except holidays and the period between planting and first harvest, usually April-June). We are also operating Mondays and Wednesdays for the time being, same time (11-5). Come visit us in front of the Shatner Building (3480 McTavish St. Montreal) or, when the snow comes, inside Shatner on the second floor.

True Ecosteria!

Join Organic Campus in helping our farmer, Berhanu Wassihun, establish a sustainable agriculture center in Ethiopia! On November 18 from 7-9:30pm we will be holding True Ecosteria! at Gert's Bar. A traditional Ethiopian meal will be provided, plus a talk by author Elizabeth Johnston on her new book "No Small Potatoes," and much more!

Tickets are 10$ and can be purchased at the Organic Corner (2nd floor Shatner) Tuesday Nov. 11 from 12-6pm and Wednesday Nov. 12 from 1:30 to 4:30. If you can't make it on Tuesday, send us an e-mail at organiccampus@gmail.com and we can arrange a possible meet-and-swap.

So come join us in support of sustainable organic agriculture and health on the 18th while being surrounded by an array of enlightening speakers, like-minded enviro enthusiasts, and delicious organic food! See you then!

What: Organic Seasonal Veggies and some baked goods, including our famous Sweet Potato and Cinnamon breads and Enjera rolls.
From: The local vegetables are provided by True Food Ecostere, a small farm located 1h from Montreal run by the Wassihun family. They also provide the delicious Organic Ethiopian Baked Goods sold in the Organic Corner all year long. In the winter, additional vegetables from other local farmers are added.
When: Tuesdays, 12:00 to 5:00 pm (Winter term),
Where: Organic Corner, Second Floor of the Shatner University Center Building (3480 McTavish Street, on the west side of the McGill campus). In October we will be in Three Bares Park, in front of the Arts Building.
How much: One basket size for 1-2 people, can be doubled for more. Price varies from 10 to 15$ depending upon season and contents. Always pay a week ahead to receive your basket the following Tuesday.
